Inceptor is seeking a Social Media Specialist who will be responsible for assisting in the strategic development and hands-on execution of social media initiatives for Inceptor clients and for Inceptor itself. Our Social Media Specialist will work with other members of the Inceptor team in providing integrated interactive marketing campaigns to meet the online needs of our clients.
Job Description
- Perform competitive analysis, social media monitoring and online brand management analysis for clients
- Conceptualize, schedule, and execute overall social media initiatives for clients (and for Inceptor) which employ current best practices across an optimal mix of social media channels (i.e. blogging, Facebook, Google+, Twitter, YouTube, etc.)
- Work closely with clients to establish goals and KPIs and then exceed them
- Delight clients with effective project management and on-time deliverables of the highest quality
- Monitor, measure and report on social media campaigns on an ongoing basis taking necessary, immediate actions when appropriate.
- Develop exceptional content to support clients’ and Inceptor’s social media initiatives
- Support the Inceptor sales team in developing and closing social media client engagements.
- Closely follow trends within the social media and online communities and adjust social media strategies and actions accordingly.
- Build a reputation as a social media expert within Inceptor as well as with the broader online community.
Desired Skills & Experience
- Bachelor Degree with major in Marketing/Social Media/Online Communications
- 2-3 years working experience in social media, public relations, or journalism preferred – interactive marketing or agency experience a plus
- Working knowledge of all major Social Media/Online Platforms.
- Superb written, interpersonal and verbal communication skills with acute attention to detail and a relentless pursuit of quality.
- Effective presentation skills in both small and large group settings.
- Experience in writing and maintaining a blog
- Demonstrable understanding of viral marketing strategies and trends in social media.
- Knowledge of best practices in social media, public relations and copywriting
- Capable of managing multiple initiatives with the ability to identify and adapt to shifting priorities.
- Demonstrated passion for social media and digital marketing.
- Willingness to experiment, ability to change gears quickly and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to create great working relationships with all levels within the company and across multiple disciplines.
- Proficiency with social media monitoring and management tools (Radian6, HootSuite, etc.)
- Proficiency with MS Office products (esp. Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
